David Ratcliffe BSc, MB, BS, MRCGP, MRCP, DRCOG, DFFP
David trained at Charing Cross Hospital, London, and at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, qualifying in 1980. As a junior doctor he worked at St Bartholomew's Hospital as a Woolfson Research Fellow in the London Migraine Clinic. He then went on to hold posts at Oxford in general medicine, gastroenterology and nephrology before becoming a General Practitioner, spending six months in New Zealand pursuing a research interest in migraine. David joined the Fort House Surgery in 1988 and has been the senior partner since 2000.
David has developed a keen interest in travel medicine as well as adult internal medicine and renal medicine. He is the GP representative on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex regional renal planning committee. He also runs a minor surgery clinic once a fortnight. A keen traveller and climber, he conquered Mount Everest in 2007 and has now climbed five of the 'seven' summits. He is married with two teenage daughters. |

Richard Redfern MBBS, MRCGP
Dr Redfern trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Hospitals Medical School, graduating in 1989. He held various posts as a junior doctor in the Royal Surrey County Hospital, including the St Luke's oncology department, before commencing his general practice training. He joined Fort House Surgery in 1994 and worked as a GP with a special interest in oncology for 10 years.
He has developed interests in paediatrics, oncology and palliative care, and is a keen golfer in his spare time. He runs a fortnightly minor operations and joint injection clinic. He is married with two children. |

Kalpee Malde BSc, MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DCH
Dr Malde trained at the UCH and Middlesex Hospital Medical School graduating in 1993. She held posts as a junior doctor in obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, elderly care, A+E, psychiatry and audiology. She trained in General Practice in Claygate, Surrey, gaining membership of The Royal College of General Practictioners in 1999. Later that year she joined Fort House Surgery.
She has a keen interest in child and women's health, and teaching; she currently supervises and teaches second year foundation trainee doctors in the practice. She is a keen runner and gardener, and is married with a son. |

Tim Bates MBBS, MRCP, DTMH, MRCGP
Dr Bates trained at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals Medical School, graduating in 1994. He held posts as a junior doctor in the UK, before travelling to Australia to work in A+E, oncology, medicine, ITU and anaesthetics. He returned to the UK in 1997 to work at Mount Vernon Hospital in Oncology, before joining P&O Cruises as a ship’s doctor in 1999 and passing the MRCP in 2000. He then worked for a medical repatriation company for seven years, and took the Diploma of Tropical Medicine (Liverpool) in 2001 before training as a GP in Wonersh, Surrey in 2003. He passed the MRCGP with Distinction and joined Fort House Surgery in 2004.
He has developed interest in travel and tropical medicine, general and chest medicine and acupuncture. He currently teaches third and fifth year medical students for Imperial Medical School. He enjoys fishing, golf and cricket and has been a member of Durham CCC since 1992. He is married with three children. |

Hilary Audsley MBBS, MRCGP, DCH, DFFP, DRCOG
Dr Audsley trained at the London Hospital Medical School graduating in 1994. She held posts as a junior doctor in Harlow and Epsom, and spent one year in paediatrics including a 3 month post with the Tadworth Children's Trust before commencing her general practice training in the Epsom locality. She worked as a GP in Bexley Heath for 2 years during which time she passed her MRCGP with merit. She joined Fort House Surgery in 2001.
Through her career she has developed interests in women's health, paediatrics, diabetes and teaching; she currently supervises and teaches second year foundation trainee doctors in the practice. She is a keen cyclist and cake decorator, and is married with two children. |
